Natasha & Shane’s wedding took place on a gorgeous day in June at St. Margurite Bourgeoys Parish (formerly St. Jospeh’s) in Sydney. From the moment I walked in the door the morning of her wedding, I could hear Natasha’s contagious laughter mixed with her bridesmaid’s and I couldn’t help laugh myself. Good friends and loving family made their day more fun that I could have imagined. Following their ceremony, portraits were taken at Wentworth Park and the Sydney boardwalk. Celebrations were held at Center 200’s main concourse, transformed by Robert Maclean of Celebrations and Event Planning. Guests enjoyed dinner catered by Center 200 and wedding cake pops by Cocoa Pod followed by epic dance offs, music supplied by DJ Bobby Cooper. At 1 am confetti cannons fired to Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody preparing guests for Cape Breton’s unofficial Rankin Family anthem and they were All Fired Up, as Jimmy sang. Not to let the night slip away without a an epic send off, the couple ran through the Joseph Family Archway and sprayed bottles of champaign in the parking lot to the amazement of casino patrons. Congratulations Natasha & Shane and thank you for a sharing your fantastic day with me! A wedding like this deserves an annual Cape Breton kitchen party don’t you think?
